The Full Stack Web Development program equips students with the expertise to design, develop, and deploy dynamic web applications.

   WEBD-3010: Web Development 3 Focuses on various frameworks used in REST-based Python APIs, CI/CD processes, and cloud-based infrastructure. Students develop a full web application using Python

   WEBD-3012: Business Systems Build and Testing Teaches deployment of web applications to production environments, including quality assurance, testing, build tools, and best practices in code deployment. The course culminates in launching a portfolio website.

   WEBD-2010: Project Management Fundamentals and Agile Business Analysis Covers project management fundamentals, agile methodologies, and techniques. Students learn to manage customer expectations, collaborate effectively, and ensure products provide business value.

   Top Guatemala Company providing ERP & CRM and custom software services. 10 employees. 2000 active users per day. 500 request per minute to the systems.

   Development and maintenance in the company's main application, ZAURU, an ERP with over 2,000 active users and all the necessary modules for a business.

   Leading and collaborating with a team for custom developments, creating web applications connected to the ERP & CRM main system API.

   Design and implementation of static pages requested by clients for their own online stores, connected to the CRM API or CMS.

3. January 2022- December 2022

   FullStack Developer.

   Public Ministry of Guatemala. - Guatemala, Guatemala. (In person).

   Branch of the Government dedicated to ensuring compliance with justice in the country. Approx. 70 Tech employees. 1500 active users per day on the platforms.

   I led and trained development teams at the Public Ministry to create new modules within applications (ASTREA, AyudaGT) previously developed by the NGO.

   Migration of the SICOMP system (Java, Spring Boot, SQL Server) towards new App ASTREA (ReactJs, NestJS, NodeJS, Microservices, MongoDB, SQL Server).

   Improvement and maintenance of application, AyudaGT, focused on providing assistance to crime victims in Guatemala. (ReactJs, NestJS, NodeJS, Microservices, MongoDB, SQL Server).

ONG dedicated to promoting legal education and access to justice. Approx. 150 employees. 1000 users per day..

Collaborated with the Public Ministry of Guatemala to improve the national justice systems, with focus on criminal and judicial areas.

I led the course, teaching fourth-year students in the engineering program of computer science and systems about computer architecture. We primarily used Arduino, along with low-level languages such as MASM x86 and C.

Company with more than 5 parking lots (for vehicles of all types) and 2 electronic stores in the city of Guatemala. Approx 150 tickets per day between the 2 parking lots. 4 users per day on the electronic stores.

Development and implementation of a car parking ticket system, with connection to a barrier that opens automatically upon detecting authorized vehicles exiting, payment control, vehicles within the parking area, and accounting.

ERP system to generate receipts, manage inventory, handle purchases and sales, export data, and manage accounting for electronic supplies stores.

About Me

My name is Oscar René, but everyone calls me Koka. I'm passionate about web development & Teaching. Currently, I'm leading the WEBD-3012, WEBD-3010 and WEBD-2010 program at Red River College (Winnipeg, Manitoba) as part-time.

Some of my successes include the creation of ASTREA and AYUDA.GT, two systems used nationally in Guatemala for reporting and assisting victims, in collaboration with Justice Education Society and the Public Ministry of Guatemala.
